Today has been a very tiring day for me. I woke up at the ass-crack of dawn and could not go back to sleep. I went to T's and got my fingernails and toenails done. Then to the chiropractor because my neck is really bothering me all the way down my right arm. My fingers have been going numb. While I was there I told Dr. G about the 'injury' I had in my ear yesterday. I was brushing my teeth using my right hand and cleaning out my ear with a q-tip in my left hand. Somehow I gouged out a nice piece of ear and it left a flap just hanging (and bleeding like crazy). So Dr. G told me to go to the immediate care place, since my primary care physician couldn't see me until Thursday (yes, I told them what I did and that my ear was dripping blood). I went to the same place that I went when that demon dog I got from the shelter on Christmas Eve of 2009. Yes, the same dog that bit me so hard my arm swelled up and I had to go get a new tetanus shot.
ANYWAY, I went there and they looked in my ear and said I had a nasty tear (not my ear drum...is that one word or two?) but he couldn't stitch it up (duh). He told me to keep water out of it and put a cotton ball in it when I went to bed to keep it from bleeding. He told me that I should NOT put any peroxide in it (that's exactly what I did...five times...when it first happened). So I have a very sore ear that just starts bleeding whenever it wants to and my neck is hurting from the traction I had on it today. All the way down my right arm. OWWW!
So I'm going to bed now so my neck doesn't have to hold up my head, and maybe it can get some rest on my pillow.
